Are you looking for a new direction?

I can help
Do you want to turn a corner in your life?

Sights set on a new destination, but unsure how to get there?

When sailing, North was most often the direction to home for the Vikings. Aside from this, it was where the prevailing wind blew from; the wind that blew in a constant, steadfast direction.

On clear days, they would use a sundial-type instrument, but what about the days when the sky was heavy and there was no glimpse of the sun?

It is thought that they used lodestones as an early form of compass. When suspended over water, a lodestone will float or turn to the North. It won’t happen instantly, but it will happen – it will reliably turn to home, the North, and the ever-prevailing wind…

Evidence-based psychological interventions

I’m Clare Dudeney, I’m a Counsellor and Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapist, available to help you find your ‘true North’.

Many factors in our lives can contribute to us losing our way; anxiety and stress being just two. Working collaboratively, we will identify areas in your life where you may be feeling stuck or directionless, and work together to make positive, lasting changes. The therapies that I provide are evidence-based, long-confirmed psychological interventions. I offer face to face and online sessions from my practice in Bedfordshire.

“Clare immediately put me at ease. I had experienced hypnotherapy previously for smoking cessation and was sceptical however Clare was very straightforward and reassuring. She explained clearly what was going to happen and I felt valued and listened to. The therapy sessions felt positive. I felt empowered.”

Business Consultant, London

“Clare gave me clear and helpful guidance. I found her very calm and supportive. She helped me find a plan to move forward with. I’m now using the recording she gave to me regularly which is helping me be more focused and less anxious.”

Theatre Manager, Lancashire

“I felt very comfortable with Clare from the very first session. She explained all parts of the therapy process clearly to me and always checked if I had any questions. She encouraged me to identify the goals I wanted to achieve.”
